View and Manage Projects in Capital Planning
Background
Capital Planning provides owner-operators and construction executives with a centralized table to organize multi-year capital portfolios. Within this view, teams can group projects by organizational hierarchy, assess preliminary budgets for early-stage concept projects, monitor live financial actuals from active projects, and simulate capital allocation scenarios by toggling projects in or out of the capital plan.
Things to Consider
Hierarchy Views: You can switch between a List layout and a nested Tree layout to view projects structured across multi-tiered levels that reflect your organization or planning structure.
In-Plan Toggle: Toggling the In Plan switch off removes a project's budget from the program rollup and grand totals without deleting its planned amounts or historical data.
Planned Amount Status:
Planned Amounts display either a lump-sum planned budget, a high-level budget with line items, or sync directly with the project-level budget (Original or Revised Budget).
Live Budget Columns: For projects in Pre-Construction, Design, Bidding, or Course of Construction, columns such as Original Budget and Revised Budget pull read-only data directly from the project's Budget tool. Click the Budget icon within a project row to open its project-level budget in a new tab.
