Switch Between Tree View and List View

Background

You can choose how to view your portfolio's financial data by switching between Tree View and List View:

  • Tree View: Groups your projects in an expandable hierarchy of programs, displaying automated rollups at the program tier.

  • List View: Displays all projects in a flat, un-nested table, making it easier to filter, sort, and group by different fields to customize the view.

Note

Projects not assigned to a parent program automatically appear in the Unassigned section at the bottom of the table.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Company level Capital Planning tool to switch views and view table data.

    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Capital Planning tool to assign programs or edit planned amounts.

  • Additional Information:

    • Unassigned Projects:

      • Any active or concept project that has not been mapped to a program is categorized under Unassigned.

      • Unassigned projects do not contribute to program-level budget rollups.

      • You can assign unassigned projects from the Company Home page in the Portfolio tab.

    • Program rows in Tree View calculate automatically from child project amounts and cannot be manually modified.

    • Switching views updates your display immediately without altering project budget figures or forecasting data.

    1. Navigate to the Company level Capital Planning tool.

    1. In the Capital Planning table, locate the Unassigned section:

      • In Tree View, unassigned projects appear in an expandable Unassigned category at the bottom of the hierarchy.

      • In List View, unassigned projects appear in an expandable Unassigned category at the bottom of the page.
