Configure Concept Columns
Background
Concept Columns enable you to map your company’s budget columns to standard financial concepts used in Procore. Company administrators can customize the definition of a concept by mapping it to a custom budget column that will be applied across all projects.
Things to Consider
Additional Information:
Mapped budget columns become locked and read-only on the 'Columns' page.
Every standard concept always has a default Procore definition assigned.
‘Revised Budget Production Qtys’ and ‘Revised Budget Unit Qtys’ default columns do not use standard columns and will not display a concept association badge on the 'Columns' page.
Custom budget column assignments apply only to the concept column being configured. Procore does not automatically update related concepts to use matching custom columns. For example, assigning a custom column to 'Estimated Cost at Completion' will not update 'Forecast to Complete'; it will continue using its default column until you manually change its selection.
Steps
Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
Under 'Tool Settings', click Budget.
Click the Concept Columns tab.
Locate the concept you want to configure.
Click the drop-down list under the concept name.
NoteUse the Search bar to filter by the custom budget column name.
The list includes the Default Definition at the top, followed by eligible Custom Columns.
Select the custom budget column you wish to map to this concept.
To reset a concept to the Procore default definition, select the column listed under Default Definition or click the X icon next to the selected column name.
