    Project Map

    The Project Map (Beta) shows items from the following tools:

    • Assets

    • Incidents

    • Inspections

    • Observations

    • Locations

    • Photos

    • Punch List

    • RFIs

    Tool-Specific Maps

    The following tools have a map to view its items:

    • Assets

    • Equipment (Company Level)

    • Photos

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Maps tool.

  2. To view the current project's address on the map, hover over the project location marker pin on the map.
    A popup appears showing the project's address or coordinates (if available).
    Note: The project address also appears in the search bar above "My Current Location" on the map for quick access. On click, you will still see the location details for that project address. Both the project address marker and the address search marker pins help you to identify project locations and searched locations, respectively.

  3. To view the tool items on the map, do the following:

    1. In the Project Items section on your left side, select what tool you want to see items for. For example, Incidents, Inspections, Observations, or Punch List.
      Note: To view the desired tool items, you must have 'Read Only' level permissions or higher to the relevant tool.

    2. From the List All dropdown menu, select Mapped to see the items that have been added to the map.

    3. (Optional) To add unmapped tool items to the map, use the Icon Add To Map icon (if available). See Add Item Pin to the Map for more information.

    4. Locate the item you want to see from the list.

    5. (Optional) Click the Icon Filter Wfp Filter option to search for the required tool items. See Filter the Map for more information.

    6. Click the Icon Find On Map icon to find the item on the map.
      You can view the item as a pin or thumbnail on the map.

    7. (Optional) Use the icon - project model manager - show icon to show or hide the tool items. See Show or Hide Items on the Map.

  4. To view the tool item's summary, do one of the following:

    • Click the item name in the list.

    • Click the map pin or thumbnail on the map.
      The Details Card appears on the Map pane for the selected tool item. The Details Card displays the item information such as status, assignee, due date, type, and coordinates. For each tool, the item information varies. For information on item summary of each tool, see Filter the Map.

  5. In the Details Card on your right side, use the following options:

    1. To view a tool item in detail, click the title (item name) or the Icon Go To Details icon.
      You can view the item's details in a new tab. You can also use the Edit button in that tab to modify the item details.

    2. To edit the details of a tool item, click the Icon Edit2 icon.
      A new tab opens for the tool item, allowing you to edit the required fields. After editing the fields, click Update to save the changes.

    3. To center the item's pin on the map, click the Icon Find On Map icon.

    4. To move the item's pin on the map, click the Icon Map Move Item icon.
      You are allowed to drag the pin. When you move the item's pin on the map, the Details Card displays the relevant item information. See Move Item Pin on the Map.

    5. To remove the item's pin from the map, click the Icon Map Remove Itemicon.
      The Remove item from Map message appears. Click Remove to confirm. See Remove Item Pin from the Map.

  6. To view object or item labels directly on the map, do the following:

    1. Click the basemap preview on the map.
      You can view Basemap Style and Preferences sections.

    2. In the Preferences section, turn on the Tool Labels toggle.
      Turning this toggle on displays item or object labels on the map for supported tools (Incidents, Inspections, Observations, Punch List, and Photos).
      These visual labels allows you to quickly identify mapped items or objects at a glance, streamlining workflows and reducing confusion, navigation errors, and time spent cross‑referencing locations. It improves efficiency and accuracy for teams that rely on spatial data for day‑to‑day coordination.

    3. (Optional) Turn off the Tool Labels toggle if you do not want to view the item labels on the map.
