View Locations (Beta)

You can view locations or sub locations either in the Tree view or List view table on the Locations page. You can search and filter locations.

You can configure which table view and table column names you want to see in the Locations table. See How do I Configure Locations Table and Details View? for information on how to set the view settings in the Locations tool.

Note: You can also directly navigate to the Project Map tool from the Locations tool to view locations. See How to Navigate to the Project Map tool from the Locations Tool? for detailed information.

• Required User Permissions

1. Navigate to the project's Locations tool.
   The Locations page appears with the List View by default.
   Note: You can configure which table view and table column names you want to see in the Locations table. See How do I Configure Locations Table and Details View? for information on how to set the view settings in the Locations tool.

2. To search and filter locations in the list view, do the following:

   1. Use the search bar located above the list table to find locations by name or code.

   2. Click Filters located next to the search bar.
      A A dropdown menu appears, displaying the Location Type field.

   3. From the Location Type dropdown menu, select one of the following options:
      Site boundary, Building, Level, Unit, Room, and Zone

   4. View the locations by type.

3. To view locations in the map view, do the following:

   1. Click theicon to switch to the map view.

   2. Use the search bar located above the list table to find locations by name or code. This filters both the list and the map simultaneously.

   3. To filter locations by mapped or unmapped, click Filters located above the list table.
      A dropdown menu appears, displaying List and Location Type fields.

   4. From the List dropdown menu, select one of the following options.

      • All - To view all locations (including mapped and unmapped).

      • Mapped - To view mapped locations that are added to the map.

      • Unmapped - To view unmapped locations that are not added to the map. See Add Locations to the Map.

   5. From the Location Type dropdown menu, select the desired option.

   6. To view a location on the map pane, select Mapped and then choose the location from the list table.
      The Map pane displays the location automatically on the right side of the Locations page. It also displays a Details Card with the location details, such as coordinates, length, or area and perimeter in designated measurement units.
      

      Note (Beta)

      The measurement unit system (metric or imperial) is determined by the user's browser region. Metric units are supported for specific regions. Perimeter and area cannot be entered manually; they are automatically calculated by the Locations tool based on the drawn geometry.

   7. To view all locations, select All and then choose the desired location.
