Locations Tool (web) - Beta Access and Feedback

The Locations (Beta) tool is available on Procore Explore. The features and documentation of this tool are subject to change without notice during the course of development.

To access the beta and provide feedback Show/Hide Details

  • How to access:  

    • Join the web-based Locations Beta program using Procore Explore.

    • Ensure the new Locations (Beta) tool is active on your project.

    • Ensure you have the required user permissions. To learn more, see Permissions.

    • Navigate to your project's Locations tool.
      Note: You can switch between the new Locations tool (web) and the legacy Locations page. Click the vertical ellipses Icon Vertical Ellipsis icon located at the top right corner of the new Locations tool and select the Manage Locations (Legacy) option. The legacy Locations page appears in a new tab.

  • How to provide feedback during beta: Click the vertical ellipses Icon Vertical Ellipsis icon located at the top right corner of the new Locations tool and select the Share Feedback option. Use this option to report bugs or suggest improvements. Your feedback is critical to the final development of this tool.

  • Support: To report issues, contact your Procore point of contact, Beta program lead, or submit a ticket to Procore Customer Support.

View the location details and associated items using the Locations tool. The Location Details View provides a comprehensive view of location information, including associated tool items (Photos, Punch List, Observations, Inspections, and Incidents). Using the Location Details View, you can:

  • Select a location to view its name, code, and hierarchy path alongside associated project data.

  • View photos associated to a location, sorted by most recent date.

  • View associated tool items - related Punch List, Observations, Incidents, and Inspections items with key metadata including due date, assignee, status, and name.

  • Filter associated items by status and assignee for faster navigation.

Things to Consider

  • Admin level permission son the project's Locations tool

  • Read only or higher permissions on the project's Locations tool.

Steps

  1. Navigate to your project's Locations tool.
    The Locations page appears with the List View and Map panes.

  2. To access the Location Details View, select a location rom the List view or Tree view table.

  3. Click the Configure icon-configure-split-view icon located above the Tree or List View table.
    The Location Details View screen appears on the right pane with the following tabs:

    • Items: By default, the Items tab is selected. This tab shows the count of associated items for the selected location.

    • Photos. When clicked, this tab shows photos associated with the selected location.

  4. Click theIcon Arrow Expandicon to view related Punch List, Observations, Incidents, or Inspections items with key metadata including due date, assignee, status, and name.
    You can filter associated items by status and assignee for faster navigation.

  5. Click the Photos tab to browse and see photos tied to the location.
    The photos are sorted by most recent dates. You can click on the desired photo to view its information in a modernized photo viewer page.
