Edit Locations
Background
You can quickly edit locations or sub locations inline in the List or Tree view table. You can also update them in the Location Details View pane.
Things to Consider
Limitations:
Important! Editing a location updates it everywhere it is used across the project. If you split a single-tier location into multiple tiers (by renaming and adding sub locations), existing items remain assigned to the first tier — they will not move to the new second-tier location.
Example: Your project has a single-tier location named “East Wing Men’s Bathroom.” You rename the first tier to “East Wing” and add a second tier named “Men’s Bathroom.” Any items that were tied to “East Wing Men’s Bathroom” are automatically reassigned to “East Wing.” They are not moved to “East Wing > Men’s Bathroom.” See What are multi-tiered locations? for more information.
