View Bluebeam Studio Markups in the Unified Viewer Drawings Tool

Note

This feature applies to drawings for new projects only. Using Bluebeam in Drawings requires opting in to two separate programs: this beta program and the Drawings Unified Viewer beta in Procore Explore. Note that joining this program alone does not automatically enable Bluebeam in Drawings.

Background

Once a Bluebeam Studio session is finalized, all session markups are imported into Procore as a public, read-only layer group under the Bluebeam section of the viewer markup panel.

Things to Consider

  • Things to Consider

    • Read-Only level permissions or higher on the corresponding tool (Document Management, Documents, Specifications, or Drawings).

  • Additional Requirements

    • Imported Bluebeam markups are read-only and cannot be renamed, edited, moved, or deleted in Procore.

    • Bluebeam author names and timestamps are preserved and displayed via tooltips when hovering over markup elements.

    • Anyone with permission to view the document can view imported Bluebeam markups.

Steps

  1. Open the PDF file containing imported Bluebeam markups in the Procore Unified Viewer.

  2. Click the Markups icon in the left toolbar to open the side panel.

  3. Expand the Bluebeam Markups section.

  4. Toggle the eye icon next to a session layer group to show or hide its markups on the page.

  5. Hover over any imported markup element on the document to view the author's display name and timestamp.

  6. Open the Filter panel and select an author under the Authored By field to isolate markups created by specific participants.
