Edit a Custom Status for Project Status Snapshots (Beta)

Beta

Custom statuses for project status snapshots are available for the Budget and Project Status Snapshots tools. To enable this feature for all projects and users in your company account, join the Create Custom Statuses For Project Status Snapshots beta program through Procore Explore.

Background

If your internal processes change, you can update the custom status names, modify their availability, or change which status serves as the default for new project status snapshots.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Admin tool.

  • Additional Information:

    • Multiple custom statuses can be linked to the same status type.

    • Each custom status is limited to a maximum of 30 characters. For best readability, Procore recommends creating statuses with 10 characters or fewer.

  • Limitations:

    • The status type of an existing custom status cannot be changed.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.

  2. Under Tool Settings, click Budget

  3. Click the Project Status Snapshots tab.

  4. In the Custom Statuses table, configure the following:

    • Status on Project Status Snapshot. Click the custom status name to rename it.

    • Available?. Mark or clear the checkbox next to a custom status to enable or disable it for new or existing project status snapshots.
Note: The Available checkbox is unavailable for the standard status linked to the Closed status type and the custom status assigned as the Default Status.

    • Default Status. Select the radio button next to a custom status to set it as the default status for new project status snapshots.
Note: You can select only one default custom status at a time.

Next Steps

Once saved, your new custom status will be available for use in the Project level Budget tool and the Company level Project Status Snapshots tool. You can:
