Considerations

Project connections can only be initiated by the Receiving project.
Connections can only be made with 'active' projects. Inactive projects are not supported.
GovCloud accounts will not be able to participate in a project connection.
Both Sending and Receiving projects support unlimited, independent project connections per tool. Disconnecting one project never affects the others.
Permanent tool-level disablement has been replaced by an Inactive state. This change allows you to pause, re-enable, and modify data flow directions (Sending or Receiving) at any time without destroying the underlying connection foundations.

No change to the Submittal creation process.
Submittals will only sync after they are distributed.
If a submittal is closed without being distributed, it will not sync to the Receiving company.
The system continuously monitors the Sending project, ensuring that any re-distributions, status changes, or new revisions are reflected in your Receiving project immediately.
Any data already synced to your project cannot be deleted, even if the connection is later severed.

When you create a new revision for a distributed submittal, the Receiving version automatically moves to an 'Outdated' status.
To ensure the team uses the correct information, a warning banner appears in the Submittal Detail view to alert Receiving users that they are viewing an old version.
When the revision is distributed from the Sending account, the revision will sync to the Receiving project. The Receiving project will not receive the revision while it is in progress, they will only see it after it is distributed.

All external submittals are read-only records. You cannot edit the General Information or Distribution Summary of an external item within your project.
