Import an Estimate with AI

Import estimates with AI powered by Intake in the Estimating tool to migrate cost data automatically from third-party applications or custom spreadsheets. Using AI powered column mapping and automatic unit normalization eliminates manual data re-entry and template formatting. Reviewing real time previews ensures imported estimate items align accurately with your project structure and cost catalog before committing.

• Required User Permissions on the project's Estimating tool.

• Addtional Information:

  • Ensure your estimate file is formatted as a CSV file. Microsoft Excel files (.xls, .xlsx) are not currently supported.

  • Upload CSV files without header rows and confirm that your account uses the Flexible Table Layout.

  • AI auto suggests column mappings accompanied by confidence scores. Review suggestions below high confidence thresholds to verify or adjust column assignments manually.

    • Imported items automatically match against the Cost Catalog where applicable.

1. Navigate to the project level Estimating tool.

2. Click Import.

3. Select Estimate from CSV.

4. Click Upload File.

5. Select the CSV file you want to upload.

6. Click Open.

7. Click Import.

8. Map Table Columns: Select which column from your file should pupulate each estimating column.

   • What fields are in an estimate and how are they calculated?

9. Click Continue.

10. Map Units of Measure: Map units of measure from your imported file to units of measure available within Procore.

    • Which units of measure are included on Procore's master list?

11. Click Continue.

12. View the Estimate Preview.

13. Then click Import Estimate.

    • Once successful, your estimate appears automatically in the Estimating tool.

    • If an error banner appears, review the details, correct the file, and re-upload.
