How does the Recycle Bin work for Uploads and Placeholders in Document Management?

What happens when I delete an upload or placeholder from the Uploads tab?
Clicking Recycle Bin (formerly "Remove") soft-deletes the selected items and moves them to the Placeholders and Uploads collection in the Recycle Bin tab. Original metadata including upload date, uploader ID, file size, and original path is preserved.

What happens when I delete a filled placeholder?
Deleting a placeholder with an attached file recycles both the placeholder and the upload together. A confirmation window prompts you to enter a mandatory reason before moving both items to the Recycle Bin.

What happens if I delete a placeholder from the Documents tab?
It is soft-deleted and moved to the Placeholders and Uploads collection in the Recycle Bin. A warning message informs you that if a document is attached, both the placeholder and the document will be moved together.

What happens if I remove a file from a placeholder without deleting the placeholder?
The placeholder stays in place as an empty placeholder on the active tab, while the removed file appears in the Recycle Bin under Placeholders and Uploads as an individual entry. If files are removed from the same placeholder multiple times, each removal creates a separate entry showing who uploaded and removed the file and when.

Who can view and download recycled uploads?
Users with access to the Uploads tab can view full file details (name, type, metadata) and download recycled files. Users without Uploads tab access see only the recycled placeholder shell without file details or download options.

Can I restore recycled uploads or placeholders back to their original location?
No. Restoring items and permanently purging items from the Recycle Bin are not supported in this release.

Does anything change for recycled documents on the Documents tab?
No. The existing Documents collection and its behavior within the Recycle Bin tab remain unchanged.
