Change a User's Permissions in the Project Directory

A redesigned version of the Project Directory is currently in beta and can be enabled with Procore Explore.
If you have a large number of Procore users, we recommend that you use permissions templates instead of editing each individual user's permissions. See Create a Project Permission Template.
Once you change or set permissions for a user, the change in permission will be effective immediately the next time they log in or refresh the page.
The drop-down list contains a list of In Procore, a Global Permissions Template is a project permissions template that can be assigned to any user on any project in your company's Procore account. See also permission template and project-specific permission template. In Procore, a Project Specific Permissions Template can only be assigned to a user who has been added to the corresponding project's Directory tool. See also Permissions Template and Global Permissions Template.
Navigate to the Project level Directory tool.
Click the Users tab.
Optional: Search and Filter the Project Directory.
Next to the user, click Edit.
OR
Click the user's name.
Scroll down to the 'Project Permissions Templates' area and choose from these options:
Assign a Permission Template
Select the user's permission template from the drop-down menu.
Manually Update the User's Tool Permissions on the Project
In the Project Permissions Template drop-down menu, select Do Not Apply a Template.
Select the permission level you would like the user to have for each tool. See What does each permission level mean?
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save or Save & Send Notification.
