Submit a Bid on Behalf of a Bidder

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Bidding tool.

  • Additional Information:

    • If a bidder submits a bid outside of Procore, you can enter and submit the bid on their behalf.

 Tip

Invited bidders have the option to submit their bid by replying to the bid invitation email with an attachment, as an alternative to logging in to Procore's Planroom tool. See Submit a Bid. This automatically updates their bid status in the Bidding tool to 'Submitted' and you can view their attachment on their response page. See Can bidders submit their bid via email or must they sign in? and Review Submitted Bids.

Steps

Note: The steps below are for projects with Bid Management Enhanced Experience. If your project has not been updated to the new experience, follow the steps in the Legacy Content section instead.

  1. Navigate to the project's Bidding tool.

  2. Click the name of the bid package that you want to open.

  3. Find the bid form and company that you want to submit a bid for.

  4. If the bidder is already on the bid form, click their company name in the Bidders column to open their bid sheet.
    OR
    If you want to add a new bidder, click the + button. See Add Bidders to a Bid Form.

  5. Fill out the bid sheet.
    Note: You can attach proposals and other documents in the Attachments section.

  6. Click Submit Bid.

 Legacy Content

The steps below are for projects that have not been updated to Bid Management Enhanced Experience.

  1. Navigate to the project's Bidding tool.

  2. Click View on the relevant bid package.

  3. Click View next to the bidder's name you want to submit on behalf of.
    OR
    Click the Add Bidders button to add a new bidder. See Search for and Invite Bidders.

  4. Fill out the Bid Sheet section.
    Note: You can attach proposals and other documents in the Attachments section.

  5. Click Submit Bid.
